Romania: Carlsberg’s sales volume up 21% in Romania last year

Sales of Carlsberg in Romania increased by 21% in 2017 as compared to 2016, Adevarul reported on February 21.

In Romania, the brand is included in United Romanian Breweries Bereprod’s (URBB) portfolio.

As compared to 2015, the brand saw its sales increase by 38% last year, which is well above the increase registered by the overall super premium segment, the company said.

The growth was made possible due to the investments in increasing the production capacity of URBB’s brewery in Pantelimon, the company said.

Carlsberg beer was launched in Romania in 2001.
